Probably my favorite dish from my childhood, made by my "second mom".
| 1 1⁄2 | c | macaroni |
| 1 | onion | |
| 1 | lb | hamburger (or fake meat substitute) |
| 1 | cn | stewed tomatoes |
| 2 | c | tomato juice |
| 2 1⁄2 | c | water |
| 2 | T | chile powder |
| 1 1⁄2 | T | Sugar |
| 1 | t | garlic salt |
Brown meat and chopped onions
Pour tomatoes, juice, and water in pan and add spices and simmer for about 15 minutes.
Cook and drain macaroni and add to sauce.
Cook for about 15 minutes on low heat.
