I just closed my LinkedIn account. I haven't been using it for looking for work and I don't intend to in the future.
Their silly attempt to try to be a social network was a bad idea to begin with.
I know there's a few people who I'll lose connection with, but that's life.
I've owned and used this URL for around 25 years now. I've always intended this as the canonical place to find me, and this is just one more step in cementing that. More steps coming in the near future.
